                                                 COLLEGE ORIENTATION REPORT

The Second day of the B.ed program (Batch 2025-27) at the government college of Teacher Education (GCTE) Thycaud, began with a Campus visit  on 25 july 2025. This  act designed to help us explore the infrastructure, departments and key academic spaces of our college .Our class was divided into three groups for the visit, and Iwas placed under the guidance of shiba Teacher. Together, we explored the H.H. The Maharajas Block, C.F.clark Block, and the uoc Block.Our

Campusvisit began in the

historic Mabarajas' Block, a two Storey

structure that has various departments, classooms", and laboratories, we first visited General hall I and General Hall two, where common acadamic events are conducted. Next we entered to the principal's Room, which displayed several ever-rolling trophes, highlighting the college's academic and extracurricular achievements. A unique highlight of this room wan an antiqueWashbasin, over 100 years old and built in  the British era. It resembled a table.Then we visited the Main

library, which hqs a rich collection of academic journals and books. Then we were introduced to the Staff rooms of differrent departments.

Then we went to Geography Department

there we saw pieces of rocks, stones and

fossils.

The most exciting experience was the Natural Suence Laboratory, which displayed stuffed and embalmed birds and animals. The center of attraction was a large stuffed Crocodile, along with skeletons and Preserved biological specimens. we also visited the Natural Science classroom and the physical

Science lab, where we observed various  models and teaching aidss for Science education. Then we visited office room also.Next, we went to the C. F. clark Block,which consists of three floors for other Optional subjects, research, and lab work. On the Ground floor, we explored the Human Performance lab, Hindi classroom and naturall science room. Basic amenities like the ladies Rest room and drinking water are also located here. The first room houses the prychology lab, the computer cum language lab and research room. These rooms are well designed to Support practical learning and research.On the second room, we visited the English room, commerce room and another research room.

finally we visited the ugc Block

, where college auditorium is located. Thus in this vibrant and spacious hall where, programmes, seminars and cultural events are held.
